24 weeks belly picture

I took this a week or so ago and keep forgetting to post it!

In need of an update!!!

I haven't updated this in awhile!! But here it is:

She has been growing and growing and KICKING!! Lately I am getting those low crotch kicks and rolls over my bladder! It feels so weird. Especially when I feel movement up high and down low at the same time! Randy feels her all the time and I can see it from the outside a little. I haven't seen any drags yet though. She always moves when Randy talks to her. It's so cute that she moves to her daddy's voice.

The nursery furniture is bought and set up (Thanks to Grannie Leff). It's so surreal to walk by the room and see it in there. We got the bedding (Thanks to Nana & Papa Leff) today and put it in the crib. I love it!

My feet still swell when it's hot and/or I am on them all day. Otherwise I am feeling really good. We are very excited to see her but definitely want her to stay in as long as she needs to be able to come out healthy and ready to greet the world!

Baby Movements

She's been moving quite a lot lately. Tonight is the first night I felt a kick on the outside. Unfortunately by the time Randy tried to feel, the strong ones were over and I only felt light ones from the inside that he couldn't. I am hoping she will kick a little stronger so Randy can feel her too!! She wiggles a lot but she is still too small for anyone to feel on the outside!

My stumpy troll feet

Over this past weekend Randy and I went to Jalama Beach to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary (hail to broke newlyweds with a baby on the way!). My feet got so sunburned they are sore, swollen and look like chubby, stumpy troll feet! RED troll feet. Not attractive.

Goodbye skinny ankles, Hello Cankles!! I hope this doesn't continue much longer.

2nd Trimester Cravings

Now that morning sickness is basically non-existent, I have began to crave foods. Nothing strange like pickles dipped in ice cream but I am noticing a trend. Here's my cravings list:

• Hot Dogs (especially from Costco food court)
• Slim Jims (buy one each time I am in the check out lane)
• Cherry slushies/slurpies (Thanks Randy for the late night runs to 711!)
• Milk (My new best friend since heartburn started)
• Buffalo Wings with Ranch Dressing
• Baked potatoes (this has been pretty consistent even when morning sickness was at its peak)

So that's about it so far. None of these are together at once just random things I want and have a few times a week!!

My Labor & Delivery Experience

On Mother's Day morning, I had some red spotting when I went to the restroom. It didn't last long at all and never came back. I hesitated to call my doctor but given my history I thought I should.

He asked the usual questions. Had I been lifting heavy things, straining, had sex, etc. No's to all questions. He decided I should go into Labor & Delivery at San Dimas Hospital to get checked out since his office was closed. It was great because he called ahead and let them know we were coming so we didn't need to go and wait hours for the ER.

When I got there, I peed in a cup to check my urine. The nurse checked my cervix to see if it dilated. It was closed and thick like it should be. I was hooked up to a machine to be monitored for contractions for 30 minutes. She also checked the heartbeat and during that time the baby moved a lot and she was very pleased with that. No contractions, no more blood.

Everything was fine. Baby was doing good. Guess it was something random. She said it can happen unexplained from time to time. Surprisingly, I was not freaked out at all by this. I was calm. Like I knew everything was okay but still taking precautions. I was proud of myself.

The L&D nurses were really nice and one said she will see me in 4 months!

18 Week Appointment

Today was another appointment. Not much happened. We just heard the heartbeat again. 150bpm! I have now officially only gained about 8 pounds and I am almost half way through.

Our big ultrasound is scheduled for May 21st! We will find out the sex of the baby then! We are so excited and anxious. The countdown begins!!!

Baby Movements

I think I am starting to feel the baby. Although it can very from gas to baby. Sometimes I can tell the difference and then other times I am wrong when a little toot slips out. Whoops! Not baby!

Sooooo Most of you think it's a girl!!!

I looked at the poll results so far and most of you think it's a girl!! I kinda have a feeling it is too!

Boy or Girl??

We will know this in 5 weeks....maybe sooner!! What do you think it is? Vote on the poll which on the right hand side down a little!

Not to mention the All Day sickness is basically gone now. I get queasy from time to time and gag a little but that's it. And I have been battling a cold all week. Illness while pregnant = misery. But it will be all worth it in the end!!

Almost 15 Weeks Belly Picture

Some of you asked for this!! So here it is!! Keep in mind this is at the end of the night after eating all day. It's slightly smaller in the morning. Soon it will be rounder!!

My belly button is starting to change too. It's a little wider, not as deep and smoother.

14 Week Appointment

We had our 14 week appointment yesterday. It went really well. We heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was amazing and had a strong 160 bpm. The doctor also measured my belly, he said it has grown 3cm. Although it feels like more!!

I have only gained 3 pounds. I thought it was 2 lbs and that I gained a pound since last apppointment but they had I have gained 4 lbs and had actually lost a pound since last appointment. The doctor doesn't seem concerned that I haven't gained much weight so I am okay with it too!!

Next appointment May 6th!! The BIG u/s will be in about 6 weeks!!!

10 Week Ultrasound Picture

I know I have taken forever to post this! The computer I use to scan the pictures isn't working well. This is the picture I took on my cell phone. I hope the quality isn't too bad.

This is the baby at 10 weeks and 4 days. We saw the baby moving and putting its hands up to its mouth. It was amazing!
