If you have a toddler that loves bubbles, I highly recommend this set up! You can pick it up at your local Gymboree store or go to HERE. I used a 20% off coupon I found in a parenting magazine. I also purchased the bubble refill. With the way Hailey goes nuts over bubbles, I knew I'd need a back up!

Sofie the Giraffe
I am not sure if you have heard about Sofie but she certainly a popular giraffe. So popular in fact,
she was once going for $40 on Amazon. Don't worry, that is not how much I paid for her!!
I actually refer to her as Coach for babies! I had to check what the hype was with this plastic squeaking chew toy! You would think it was for dogs (Randy thinks it is). So I found on eBay for $10!
Here is a description I got off of a website:
"Soft, light and easy to grasp, Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for little hands and makes a happy sound when squeezed. Babies especially love her bumpy head to sooth their teething gums. Hand made in the French Alps with natural rubber and non-toxic paint. Sophie fully complies with the U.S. toy safety requirements of ASTM F-963. Sophie stands 7" tall, and is sure to become your baby's favorite toy."
I understand the hype (although I still wouldn't pay $40). Hailey loves this thing. The nose, ears & legs can fit into places in her mouth that a teething cannot. She "makes out" with her constantly. I love taking this shopping because it keeps her entertained!
Some more info:
"Sophie the Giraffe, full of discoveries and activities to awaken baby’s senses.
Sight: The dark and contrasting spots all over Sophie the Giraffe’s body provide visual stimulation and make her easily recognizable to baby. She soon becomes a familiar and reassuring object.
Hearing: Her squeaker keeps baby amused, stimulates his hearings, and helps him to understand the link between cause and effect.
Taste: Sophie the Giraffe is very flexible and has lots of parts for baby to chew like ears, horns, legs. She is perfect for soothing baby’s sore gums when teething and is completely safe. Made of 100% natural rubber and food paint.
Touch: Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for baby’s small hands. She is very light and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip. She is very soft to touch, just like baby’s mummy, stimulating soothing physiological and emotional responses.
Smell: The singular scent of natural rubber from Hevea tree makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys. Phthalates and BPA free."
I would suggest this for any teething baby. You can purchase this from the Breast Cancer Research Site and they will donate a portion of the costs. Had I known this, I would have purchased from here (the $20 would have been worth it).

Huggies Overnights are Awesome!

I love these. I hate all other Huggies diapers, but these are great! Any regular diaper was just not cutting it overnight. Hailey was beginning to wake from being wet. Sometimes she was already completely soaked through, sometimes almost there. She sleeps about 11-12 hours and she's a heavy wetter overnight.
So far, no leaks!!! And she stopped waking up! I recommend these to anyone with a heavy wetter overnight! Hailey tummy sleeps and they still hold up overnight. Amazing.
Only downside is the smallest size they make is size 3. It says it starts at 16 pounds. Hailey roughly 15 pounds, maybe less and fit just fine. I actually think we may be moving to the size 4s in a month or so, if not sooner. Also they are about $12 per pack of 36 but if you think about it, you use one a night so the pack will last a little over a month. If you go to http://www.diapers.com/, you can find a 54 pack for $22. I found the 36 pack at Babies R Us. I didn't want to wait for the diapers to ship in 2 days, I wanted to start using them the day I heard about them!
During the day, I still LOVE Swaddlers! She's in the biggest size they make right now (Size 2-3..yes that's a size!) but will stick to the Pampers brand after. I wish Pampers made something similar to the Overnights but they don't until toddler age!
Until then, Huggies Overnights it is!!

I Pink Puffy Heart Video Monitors

I always thought video monitors were so cool but it wasn't that important for me to have one. I didn't register for one because I felt weird asking for something that cost so much. After all, it's just a luxury not a necessity.
My Mom gave us one and today is the first day we hooked it up. This thing is amazing!! It has night vision too so I can see her clearly as she sleeps in her crib anytime. Why didn't I make Randy hook this up sooner? I am going to be completely addicted to this thing!
Thanks Mom! =)

Baby Crack

I had read on TheNestBaby messages boards about this machine they kept referring to as "Baby Crack." It plays lullabies and it supposedly the greatest things ever. My curiosity got to me and wanting some help getting Hailey to sleep at night really made we wonder. So I bought it. It can found at Bed, Bath And Beyond for $20.
It'd actually really cool. It has 3 lullaby songs and also ocean, rain and heartbeat sounds. It has a picture projector that displays pictures on the walls. I tried it tonight. It really seemed to relax her and she fell asleep as first. She is currently awake again and Randy is rocking her as I type. It's only the first night but we will see if this baby crack machine is what it's "cracked" up to be!
