Then & Now
I haven't done this in awhile. Hailey is growing like a weed and looking back on the "old" pictures makes me remember how tiny she was! I can't believe my small preemie is getting so big!!
NICU Donations Idea
Hailey's 1st birthday party is going to be huge. We are so lucky to have so many friends & family to help celebrate Hailey's adorable life. Thanks to the inspiration of Tricia, whose son was born at 26 weeks, I have decided to take this opportunity to collect items to donate in Hailey's name to the NICU she spent the first 33 days of her life in.
Although Hailey did not have any life threatening complications, those nurses and doctors were such a blessing and truly put their hearts into the care for Hailey. They did save her life in a way I could never repay them for. My thoughts were to help them continue with the fight to save all other preemies lives who enter that NICU everyday. Any help we could provide can help make a difference.
I have already contacted the NICU who directed me to contact the director to see what types of donations they need the most. Whether it be blankets, clothing, diapers, even monetary donations. We owe so much to them that this is the least I can do!
I will keep you updated! =)

Hailey's 8 Month Stats
Hailey had a GI doc appointment today. Nothing out of the ordinary & nothing new to report but I did get to find out her 8 month stats!
Currently: 18lbs 13oz & 27 inches long. GI was happy. She is currently just above the 50th percentile for weight and still at the 50th percentile for height.
My growing girl! =)

Sofie the Giraffe
I am not sure if you have heard about Sofie but she certainly a popular giraffe. So popular in fact,
she was once going for $40 on Amazon. Don't worry, that is not how much I paid for her!!
I actually refer to her as Coach for babies! I had to check what the hype was with this plastic squeaking chew toy! You would think it was for dogs (Randy thinks it is). So I found on eBay for $10!
Here is a description I got off of a website:
"Soft, light and easy to grasp, Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for little hands and makes a happy sound when squeezed. Babies especially love her bumpy head to sooth their teething gums. Hand made in the French Alps with natural rubber and non-toxic paint. Sophie fully complies with the U.S. toy safety requirements of ASTM F-963. Sophie stands 7" tall, and is sure to become your baby's favorite toy."
I understand the hype (although I still wouldn't pay $40). Hailey loves this thing. The nose, ears & legs can fit into places in her mouth that a teething cannot. She "makes out" with her constantly. I love taking this shopping because it keeps her entertained!
Some more info:
"Sophie the Giraffe, full of discoveries and activities to awaken baby’s senses.
Sight: The dark and contrasting spots all over Sophie the Giraffe’s body provide visual stimulation and make her easily recognizable to baby. She soon becomes a familiar and reassuring object.
Hearing: Her squeaker keeps baby amused, stimulates his hearings, and helps him to understand the link between cause and effect.
Taste: Sophie the Giraffe is very flexible and has lots of parts for baby to chew like ears, horns, legs. She is perfect for soothing baby’s sore gums when teething and is completely safe. Made of 100% natural rubber and food paint.
Touch: Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for baby’s small hands. She is very light and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip. She is very soft to touch, just like baby’s mummy, stimulating soothing physiological and emotional responses.
Smell: The singular scent of natural rubber from Hevea tree makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys. Phthalates and BPA free."
I would suggest this for any teething baby. You can purchase this from the Breast Cancer Research Site and they will donate a portion of the costs. Had I known this, I would have purchased from here (the $20 would have been worth it).

Hailey & Khloe's Playdate
I will admit, the play date was more for the moms! Karla & Khloe I met through Randy's cousin Kristie. We follow each others blog and basically "met" online and decided to meet in person finally.
We went to Victoria Gardens and had lunch at Lucille's BBQ. Hailey enjoyed some chicken & avocado from Mommy's plate. Khloe was a perfect little angel. We went window shopping and checked out some cute children's clothing stores. Of course we had to take some pictures of the kiddos. Too bad the mommies didn't jump in!

Guess Who is 8 Months Old?
But she is such a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle and be with her Mommy & Daddy. She's very "bashful" in an outgoing way. She will give you a giant smile then bury her head in our shoulders but only for a second so she can smile at you again. She loves anyone who talks to her.
Hailey is also beginning to be a little copy cat! She will copy some of your motions or having a "screaming match" with you. It's too cute. She is so aware of everything and loves to study & explore her surroundings. If she could put the entire world in her mouth, she would!
Her laughter is addicting. The most random things make her giggle until her face turns red. Today she was laughing at Jake so hard she had tears in her eyes.
Here are some picture I attempted to take today. She is making taking pictures of her a bit challenging! She is so mobile that most of them turn out blurry! I gave up on the sign pictures. She eats the paper making it impossible to get a good shot. Little stinker.
Here are a few shots I was able to get. My cute little munchkin!

BIG Belly Laughs
Disclaimer: These are horrible videos! From my cell phone. You are not meant to see much, just hear the huge laughs she was giving me.
I was dancing for her while she was on her changing table. She laughed so hard her face turned red. I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants (no joke). It was hilarious! Enjoy!
Hailey's Fascination with Jake & Jumperoo Fun!
Hailey LOVES her jumperoo! She still can't touch the ground but with a folded blanket she can. Shealso has a fascination with Jake. Anything he does is hilarious to her! She just stares at him, smiles & laughs. I caught some on video. Here are 2! The other is just of her jumping.

Happy Easter!
Hailey's first Easter at Grandma Wiesman's! Here I was worried about her being sick on Easter and it was me that was sick on Easter.
Here are some pics!

Happiest Place on Earth
Hailey's first trip to Disneyland! Thanks to Great Aunt Connie!
She seemed to enjoy herself. She loved Pirates of the Caribbean (slept through the two drops), was fascinated by Small World and hate Haunted Mansion!
