Crawl Watch 2009 Take 2 & 3

It's so funny how things change just overnight! A few weeks ago I was worried she wasn't getting on all fours and now I am counting down the seconds until she crawls! She really has the army drag/crawl down! I am waiting for the first official crawl!

Here are two videos I captured. We got a new puzzle floor mat I put together after the 1st video. I love that thing. Much better than the blanket!

And we have a tooth!!!

Hailey's 1st tooth has officially broken through. It's still not completely out. Hopefully I will be able to get a big toothy grin on camera soon! I *think* #2 might be making it's way in soon!

Crawling Watch 2009

We are on a crawling watch! It could happen any day now (but still could be weeks away!). Hailey seems to be improving everyday! She is perfecting her army crawl!

Beach Baby

After such a great photo session at Sears for Hailey's 10 month/Father's Day photos, the manager of that Sears location asked if I would bring Hailey back so he can use her as a display for the new summer beach background. Of course I agreed!

Operation Shred Update

This is actually going very well. For myself and Randy. I lost 3lbs the first week, and actually gained 0.4 this past week. I am trying to not let that discourage me. I have been working out which includes strength training so I am chalking it up to that so I do not get discouraged!

It's great having a partner to do this with! A friend of mine, Amie, has come over to do the Shred workout with us as well. My friend Autum comes with me to Weight Watcher meetings. Randy and I always Shred together. It's a great support system.

I still have a long way to go but I am hoping I can meet my goal without losing track or getting off course.

Father's Day 2009

Randy's first Father's Day was spent fishing at "The Secret Fishing Hole" down in Newport Beach in the Balboa Bay area. This is a spot his family has been fishing at for years. It's located in the residential area and is pretty peaceful and quiet.

This was Hailey's first time at the beach. Although technically the Bay. The water is not fit for swimming so she did not experience that yet. We will have to visit the ocean side eventually.

It was a relaxing day. Hailey's Nana & Papa joined us. Also her Uncle Adam. I have to say she held up pretty well for skipping her nap. She didn't even sleep in the car (Uncle Adam was very entertaining on the trip down!).

We finished off our day by having dinner at Grandpa Wiesman's house to celebrate Father's day with him as well. Hailey conked out early and is still sleeping peacefully as I type!

Randy's Father's Day Gift

As many of you know, Randy is a HUGE Craftsman fan. I think he just about owns everything Craftsman makes! I decided to embark on this obsession by taking Hailey to Sears to get portraits of her with their special Fathers Day Craftsman set up. The pictures turned out so adorable! She did awesome too.

Randy received two photos for his office at work. Her Papa & Grandpa Wiesman also received a picture for Fathers Day. I have been wanting to post these for days but Randy looks at this blog and I didn't want to ruin it for him!

Guess Who is 10 Months Old!?

Hailey is 10 months old! In 2 months, she will be one year! In 2 months, we will all be celebrating her first birthday. My baby will no longer be a baby, she will be a toddler!! I will have a toddler!!!

I cannot begin to tell you the changes Hailey has made in the last month! Her first tooth is pushing its way through! It has not broken through yet but it is bulging. I am happy to report that so far it doesn't seem to cause too much discomfort, yet. Nothing a little Tylenol won't fix! And so far on disruptions in her sleep although I am sure it's only a matter of time.

Her personality is really beginning to shine through. She is such a social butterfly! (Wonder who she gets that from!). She loves people and loves it when they talk to her. She is a bug hit at the grocery store. She now waves! She loves to wave...when she wants to of course. At times she will do the typical waving-once-they-walk-away bit but not on cue. Her laughter is contagious and you can't help but laugh with her.

She is very much becoming Miss Independent. She loves to feed herself, especially Gerber Puffs. I think she is addicted to them. Hailey is starting to move away from the purees and want "real" food. She is able to tolerate dairy so she loves yogurt & cheese. We are not planning on switching her Soy yet. At one year, she can have cows milk so we will give it a shot then.

Crawling is just around the corner!! In this past week alone she is now getting on all fours and rocking and perfecting her army crawl! She still rolls to get where she needs for the most part but more and more she resorts to an attempted crawl turned army crawl if she fails. Time to baby proof and get some gates!! She is also very interested in standing and pulling herself up. She can stand assisted but she hasn't quite figured out the pulling up. She will pull up on my fingers confidently but she hesitates on everything else. She is trying to get into a sitting position as well but still struggling a but with that. However, she can get out of a sitting position like a pro! You can tell by watching her she wants to be 100% mobile but hasn't figured it out yet!

Hailey is such a cutie pie and such a sweet girl. She warms everyone's hearts and even takes a piece of your heart with her. She is just too cute to resist!

Officially Teething

Hailey is officially teething. I can see a little tiny white spot on her front bottom left (her left) side. So far she seems OK as far as pain, a little whiny and clingy though. I am prepared with Motrin, Tylenol, baby oral stuff & teething tablets! (Not to be used all at once of course!).

I am sure another will be coming in shortly after. Teething Hell, here we go! Cross your fingers for an easy, as pain free as possible teething experience for Hailey!

Operation Shred: Baby Fluff Removal

After 10 months, I am finally getting myself into gear to lose this baby fluff I am carrying around. Being a full time working mom makes it tough to find the time, energy and motivation.

I joined Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago and have already lost 8lbs! Yay for me! This is without exercising, however.

I purchased The 30 Day Shred DVD by Jillian Michaels probably close to 2 months ago and barely took it out of the plastic 2 weeks ago and gave it a go on Saturday. Kicked my butt! I was still sore yesterday to the point where it hurt to walk down any steps! The point of this video is to do it every day for 30 days. Needless to say, I skipped the second day due to being so sore. I did, however, pick back up yesterday. Randy decided to join me (Boy, was that comedy!) and he is just as out of shape as I am!!

Though I have already lost 8lbs, ideally I'd like to lose about 20 more. I am tired of dodging out of pictures and videos due to how hideous I feel I look. I didn't want it documented. There are very few pictures of Hailey & myself that I keep and do not delete. We are planning on taking family photos in August (for Hailey's 1 year photos) and I don't want to dodge the camera anymore.

So here's to Operation Shred. I will let you all know how it goes!

Another Great, Short & Sweet GI Appt!

One of the first things Dr.L said was how surprised and pleased he was that Hailey has never had any really big reflux issues! Also, that she is beautiful and makes him want to have another one! I thougt that was sweet. Of course that turned into him pushing me to have another one....now. HA! Yea right! Not yet!

Hailey is 20lbs 13oz. She wasn't measured. He wants me to go ahead and try weaning the meds even though I have already tried. He just said to go at an appropriate pace. Hailey is basically at the lowest dose of Raglen she can be on before he would say that it's offically doing nothing for her (meaning there would be no point to continue). We can reduce her prevacid dose at any time and see how that goes.

Also to continue going slow with the dairy. She loves cheese, yogurt and egg whites (hard boiled). I noticed a bit more spit up on the days she eats it but nothing significant. And her poop is different but still normal (I know, TMI, but her poop is a big indicator of how well she is tolerating something).

So all is well in HaileyLand!! And now for a few pics!! She was playing in her crib and was trying to pull herself up. She wasn't able to but it was cute to see her try!
